Updated: Jun 1, 2019

It is one of the most powerful works on the nexus between Sex and Rape while Consent falling in between the spectrum of the two. (Mackinnon 1983) She primarily argues that the idea of consent is a hollow one which blurs the line between sex and rape given the male dominated framework of the world. Her theory analyses the active role played by man in initiating Sex, while a woman has the passive agency of accepting or denying. (Mackinnon 1983) The conditioning of women have been such to not convey their desires, if such is the convention then the idea of consent is nothing more than a sham.

Varisha Sharma has interjected the trajectory of Jurisprudence and Social status of women as presented in this motion picture in her truest words.
